How to localize FCM channels in Android?

I want to correctly set up channels for Firebase Cloud Messaging notifications - prescribe localized strings for them. I can't find in the documentation how to do it. It seems that there is a mention that in the manifest, in addition to the default channel, you can also specify your own, with a custom identifier. But there are no examples. How should the custom identifier look like? Can you give an example entry?
