Android screen for car?

We are looking for a program for Android (or rather for HTC Desire S) for convenient control of the phone in the car. Something like the former "Car panel", which disappeared somewhere after the update.
You need a screen with a large clock, basic information and shortcuts to frequently used functions / applications (navigation, calls, 2gis, etc.). It is imperative that all this works in landscape mode (Sense only works in portrait mode) and that the screen does not turn off while the program is running. A cursory search on the market and w3bsit3-dns.com did not give a result.

Regarding the backlight of the screen: in 2.3 there is in the settings "Do not turn off the screen while charging", after which I feed the smart from the car's on-board network.
