How to listen to push notifications coming to the phone through Receiver?

Hello, I'm trying to build an application that will collect certain push notifications, it turns out to be done through the Service and launching it through Foreground, but somehow the service still does not work stably, sometimes it falls off, and then I found out that android has receivers that register through the manifest in system, and they work regardless of whether the application is running, and I can’t figure out if I can listen to incoming push notifications through the receiver, and if so, how can I do it, it would be great if you could give a small example ...
