How to link Adobe After Effect to cloud server?

Available:
-powerful vds
-middle class laptop
AE is installed on the laptop. Rendering is an impossible task for him. Not enough RAM. Because of this, working on a laptop with AE is not realistic.
My heart bleeds when I realize that the VDS has 128GB of RAM.
Actually the question is, is it possible to at least perform rendering on the VDS?
The only thing that came to mind: installing AE on the VDS and remote access to it from a laptop (rdp). But I'm not sure about this method.
