How to license Windows Server 2019 and CALs?
Hello everyone, the company decided to create a new virtual harm. Virtualization will be implemented on eSxi and we need to have at least one terminal server on WS 2019.
We conditionally allocate 8 threads (cores) to it, and we need to have a license to connect 25 users. All users are local, without AD.
As I understand it, you need to purchase 25 CALs and a server license, but the question is - how much? One license for a couple of dedicated cores or what? That's how much I shoveled the info, and I didn't understand the principle of licensing, they said that you need at least 16 cores, but I'm not really sure that this is the case.
