How to learn VMware vSphere?

Recommend material for in-depth study of VMware vSphere.
So far, I've taken on Mikheev_M_Administration_VMware_5 - something is going tight.
I just want to implement. And so far there are more questions than answers.

It is the questions of inter-host communication? Or, say, the opportunities that a commercial license for hyper gives? The sphere is a flexible tool, it is quite difficult to study it all, even to "feel", because it solves the most diverse tasks, but not all of them will have to be faced. How, for example, to study dynamic load distribution - not just read, but try to configure it without having labs in several hosts?
