How to keep a license for Windows 8?

There is a monoblock with Windows 8 preinstalled, and the recovery section is also in the hidden area. One question is of interest:
1. If all data was accidentally erased, a hard one flew, bought a new one. We know the license key. By downloading windows from the site and entering this lets. key. Will the activation work? Will everything be legal? Is this option acceptable?

Why didn't anyone remember UEFI? Moreover, on a Win8 monoblock, therefore, there is a high probability that the UEFI TS has a key sewn up there. If you provide the exact model of the monoblock, then you can see it.

And where on off. download site? There, in my opinion, only for an upgrade from 7, well, and also in all sorts of paid MSDN subscriptions.
And so I think everything is OK if the original image (even from torrents) is activated by this key. Even in the sticker on the body, it seems to make sense to prove licensedness (although it was written somewhere that checks, etc. are enough). Well, if it’s at home, and not at work, then it’s hardly worth worrying about legality so much, the main thing is that it activates and works.
And if the disk has not yet flown, then you can simply backup the disk / partitions either with the standard Windows Backup (it was somehow renamed in 8), or with something like Acronis True Image.

Licensing can be very tricky. Up to sending to the manufacturer under warranty. But emnip and you have a sticker with an activation code, then everything will go fine. But it is better to make backups on an external drive.

if the key fits, it will pass, for xp I remember there were modified OEM distributions and downloaded distributions from the off site did not accept the key. I looked for modified dlls for each manufacturer to restore the license. As with the 8th I do not know.
It seems that 3 activations are allowed, but this is not a problem either, you can call and increase the limit.
