I heard that you can invite a client to upwork and not pay a commission
How to do this, maybe I searched badly but did not find it

Not necessarily by reference, they even credited me one retroactively and returned the already withheld commission. Just write to support or to [email protected] with the contract number, client name and something from yourself.
