How to integrate paypal into a website?

Hello.
I was given the task of integrating paypal into an application where I only do the back-end (I write on strapi https://strapi.io). I didn’t do this before, I rummaged through the paypal documentary and realized that this is not what I need. The task is this - when registering a user in the application, he must indicate his paypal account (again, I don’t quite understand what exactly he should indicate). Apparently, when connecting an account, the user must go through all the login steps through the browser and then go back to the application, as I understand it. The bottom line is that after connecting the user's account to the application, when making in-app purchases, the user should not be asked to log into the account again, just confirm that he is sure that he wants to make a purchase.
So, the first thing I would like to know is, is it possible? Is it possible to get some links to paypal documentation? Perhaps I wrote nonsense and there are people who can explain this process to me.
