How to install xvfb on Ubuntu?

Good day.
Behind the study of this issue spent more than one hour.
All attempts to install the xvfb module on the system have failed.
All the guides on the Internet date back 10-15 years, where the standard advice "sudo apt-get install xvfb
" gives out nothing more than "Package xvfb is not available. Package 'xvfb' has no installation candidate"
And all variations on getting xvfb (including aptitude & firefox xvfb & etc) lead to about the same result.
I will be glad to any advice.

There are some problems with the apt repositories, which is why the package is not in them.
The package is present in bionic (18.04LTS): https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic/xvfb
