How to install windows on old laptop without floppy/cd rom?
Good evening! Trying to resurrect a '96 Necronut that doesn't have a drive. For these purposes, I purchased an ide to usb adapter. I connected the laptop hard to my main PC, installed 98 windows on this hard with the help of vmware, put the hard back into the laptop, but the system does not start, the error "save to disk area corrupted or doesen't exist" appears on the screen. The question, in fact, is this: how to install Windows or at least DOS on hard from an old laptop, using a modern PC without a floppy and an SD drive? How to make a boot sector?
