How to install Visual Studio 2013 on another drive?
Hello.
There is a laptop with SSD (22 Gb) and HDD (450 Gb). The SSD is running Windows 8.1 Update 3 x64. Free approximately 5.88 Gb. I'm trying to install Visual Studio 2013 Update 4 from a mounted image, which, of course, lies on another disk. In the installer, I specify the HDD, and it says that the installation requires 10 Gb ON ALL disks. Everything that could be deleted - I deleted, from the system backup to the swap files.
I've looked through all the forums on the net, but I haven't found anything useful. There is only a topic on the official forum, a person with the same problem.
In the last post, a member suggested a solution to the problem via Symlinks.
Hence I have 2 questions:
1. How to solve this problem?
2. How to use Symlinks without damaging Windows system files?
Thanks to.

Disabled swap file for disk. Booted from LiveCD, deleted all .sys files related to swap and hibernation. Then I went to Program Files, deleted all Metro programs there (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps). And I walked through% appdata%, also cleaned out the garbage. Then I turned on the "data compression to save space" function, applied it to all objects. Enough space has been freed up to install VS 2013.4. There is still 3 GB of free space left after installation.
