How to install the latest node (node.js 4.2) on debian?

I'm specifically interested in how you can put the last node of branch 4 from the office. site on debian.
It used to be like this:

../configure
make
make install

well, or through checkinstall. Now I guess I missed something, but the setting has changed.
Tell me how to collect it?
