Asterisk

How to install FreePBX on top of a running Asterisk?

There is a working Asterisk configured according to native documentation, i.e. All configs are in place. When FreePBX is installed in the native directories, symlinks are created for some configs, and they themselves are transferred to another location.
Question: will already working configs be "picked up" during installation or will FreePBX have to be configured from scratch?

If you don't want to rake up a week of controversy, don't do it.
FreePBX has a difference both in the structure of configs and in the format. And, most importantly, part of the configuration is stored in the database. Priorities are not always clear.
Backup configs. Install FreePBX, do the basic setup, and then manually transfer the dialplan and subscribers.
Well, think again if you need this rather crooked add-on, provided that Asterisk is running.
