How to install firefox to a folder on linux?

Is it possible to install firefox not in the system, but in a separate folder, for example, on removable media?
So that after connecting the flash drive, you can launch the browser with all previous settings and extensions

Can. Just download the archive with the browser from the official site, and do not install it from the package manager.

Though in the folder, even in the mother.
You can unpack to ~ and run from there (unless, of course, good people mounted the partition in noexec, but if you mounted it with noexec, then you can too), but WHY? So that the package manager does not update it and is it definitely full of holes?

Under Gentoo-like, there is definitely a fox in the form of a binary, most likely it will work on other systems.

Wouldn't it be better to create a firefox account and synchronize settings between all your devices? Or do you have other goals?

The problem is that on Linux they don't run as administrator like they do on Windows. And if you have access, then there is no problem installing Firefox - it is already included in many distributions, for example, Ubuntu.
Therefore, your idea with portable Firefox does not make any sense. Above correctly write that there is such a thing as synchronization. It is also possible to organize only a Firefox profile on removable media.
