How to install dotnet20sp1 in wine1.8 xubuntu 14.04?

Good day! There is some specific Windows tool that requires .net 2.0 sp1 that needs to be run on xubuntu and it is in winetricks, but when I try to install I get the following

$ winetricks dotnet20sp1
Executing w_do_call dotnet20sp1
Executing load_dotnet20sp1
/usr/bin/winetricks: 1720: test: Illegal number: wine-1.8
------------------------------------------------------
Working around wine bug 16956 -- wine version too old
------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------
wine-1.3.22 or later required to install dotnet20sp1 properly
------------------------------------------------------

Has anyone come across where to dig to fix it?
