How to install and configure VPN server ubuntu?

Tell me step-by-step instructions for setting up a VPN server on ubuntu.
Also tell me whether it is necessary to configure SSL before this? buy a domain?
I just installed according to the instructions and stopped at an error
after the command. ./vars

Do you know what the words "VPN", "SSL" and "domain" mean? :) The question clearly shows that it is not.
Linux is not Windows, even such a monkey thing as bubunta - it requires no brains. There are no "step-by-step instructions for morons" here. Either figure it out yourself or hire someone.
