How to install a program on Windows 7 that comes only on XP?

There is a program that is designed for XP, installation on other systems is not possible.
Must be used on an ongoing basis. What is the best way to do this?

Use XP Mode and don't bother.

Well, or download and install VirtualBox with a Windows XP image.
