How to insert a link to a sheet and / or cell in Excel in Word?

Greetings.

Strange things are happening. I write text in Word and create spreadsheets in Excel. There are many different sheets in excel and there is a lot of different data on the sheets. The task is simple - to insert a link to a cell of a specific sheet of an excel file, or at least just a sheet, but it can not be implemented.

Word and Excel files in the same folder. Here's how I'm trying to do it:

  1. I open Word
  2. highlight a word or phrase
  3. click on the selection with the right mouse button
  4. in the context menu, select the item to insert a hyperlink
  5. I specify the link to the excel file, sheet and cell
  6. Document.xlsx#List1!A1
  7. click on the created link

After that, the Excel file opens, but not on the desired sheet and cell, but either on the first sheet (if the file is closed), or on the same sheet and cell (if the file has already been opened).

I don't know what's the matter. I looked through the sites on the network and, it seems, everything should work correctly. I tried in Excel and LibreOffice, but somehow it doesn't work the way I want it to. Maybe it shouldn't? Any ideas?

Update
Checked in Excel and Word on Windows - it works. Moved the documents created in Windows to the poppy - does not work. I'll add a poppy tag.
