How to index folders in Windows 10 search?
Hello. I recently switched to windows 10 and paid attention to the search, which is near the start. Somewhere I heard in some review that the search in the top ten works "normally", better than in 7 and 8. Well, I decided to make sure. In the "indexing options" I added the folders I needed, waited for the end of indexing and started searching ... There is a folder "other" on the "E" drive. I search for "other", but alas, he did not find anything. I'm thinking it's not good for the system to work in 2016. I decided to ask you for help. Tell me how to index computer folders in the search? The fact is that at the bottom of the search there is a button "Search materials". If I click on it, the system will find the folders I need, but it's a lot of work. How to make it so that after entering, for example, the word "antiviruses" and pressing Enter, did you open the folder located at F:\Installation\programs\antiviruses ? Or here's another example. I have a Fonts folder at E:\web\fonts . I added this folder to the index. Now if I write "Fonts" in the search, then they show me the "best match" - "Fonts", but which are located atControl Panel\All Control Panel Items\Fonts . I would like it to also find the "Fonts" folder from the E drive even before clicking on "search for materials".

Actually, you should already have everything.
You are doing everything right - added the necessary folders in the path for indexing, after indexing everything is located.
In the indexing settings, you can force the index to be rebuilt, and you can also move the directory with the index to another location, perhaps there is not enough space for the index. You can also look in the Windows log for errors from the indexing service.
