How to improve the clarity of the logo on the video?

Given: the video is of rather mediocre quality, with a resolution of 384px by 288px.

Task: place a logo (in vector, Ai) on it in a corner for the entire duration (by adjusting the scale and position).

Problem: no matter what I do (in Premiere Pro, After Effects), the logo is laid out fuzzy with blurry edges of the form, the letters /// are saved in different formats.

Question: what could be the problem? Where am I dumb? How to approach a decision?
