How to improve laptop performance?

Disk loading is always 99-100%.
Cleaning the disk from garbage, defragmenting, cleaning the registry does not help, what else can I do?
It’s almost impossible to use Yandex browser, Google Chrome, when several tabs are open, and you want to switch, for example, to another tab, then when you switch for 5-6 seconds, it’s just an empty tab and only then it appears, so you have to reload the page.
