How to implement script execution in FreeBSD when the door is opened?

There is a task to execute a script on FreeBSD when presenting a contactless access card to the reader.

A friend of mine bought a Raspberry Pi that was running FreeBSD. He had the task of doing something like a dance school visit logger. The whole thing was written in Java and works great to this day :) So the conclusion is that there is a solution! I can ask him for information about which controller he used, if the question is still relevant.
