How to join FreeNas to a Windows domain?
Hello.
I have little experience with FreeBSD, and even less experience with the FreeNAS stump.
There is a task, to make a file server on this system, to create spheres for users, with differentiation of rights.
All users in a Windows 2012 r2 domain.
I didn’t find any sensible setup guides, everything was with some kind of swoop.
There is a domain login control in the web interface, but as I understand it, it will not be enough ...
You need to edit the config smb, winbind, kerberos and so on.
in general, I ask for help in setting up this whole thing, or a link to a good resource.

Everything turned out according to this guide:
https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/how-t...
The only thing is not everything converges on the interface as I did on 9.3 and the guide for 9.1.
Spheres work, the rights are assigned.
Been doing this for a long time. As far as I remember, I managed to configure everything through the web interface. Inside, everything works the same as in any other unix / linux system, so if you need to get into the configs, you can take any instructions for setting up samba (for example - habrahabr.ru/post/171057 ). It is better not to edit the configs by hand - then by going to the web interface, you can accidentally break everything. Sometimes it is not obvious what and where to specify, but by looking at which place in the config from which field of the web interface the values are substituted, you can make it generate the correct settings.
