How to implement inheritance of file permissions in Mac OS X?

Good afternoon!
I can't solve one problem. There is a desire to use one shared iTunes library for two users.
What immediately came to mind - symlinks. I made a folder in Shared, made symlinks, issued the appropriate access rights to the entire media library. But after each opening of iTunes, the access rights to those files to which he makes changes (as well as to all new ones) are reset and the second user no longer has access rights to these files. Accordingly, iTunes cannot be opened under it.
Part of the problem is solved by Match - but it only synchronizes music, and there is also a bunch of other content.
Of course, there is an option to always run iTunes as root, but this is not very convenient to say the least.
Perhaps there is some way to teach Mac OS to inherit permissions from a directory to all files nested in it?

According to this article , everything is quite simple. We did without symlinks and when you quickly switch the iTunes user, you need to close it (cmd-q or iTunes-> Exit).
