I decided to implement a catalog of enterprises and organizations on Wordpress. The question arose, what is the best plugin to use for this? And what pitfalls can hinder the work? Am I doing the right thing by choosing Wordpress?

A directory can be easily implemented using entries and categories. You can create your own material type Enterprise and its taxonomy. And information about the company through additional fields.

Get a theme. A lot of them. Look for directory wordpress theme best 2014 :)
