How to identify the load source on a laptop?
There is an old Toshiba laptop without a display that works as a torrent download during the day and a music player in the evenings. During downtime, the fan often starts buzzing for 1-2 minutes. At the same time, no applications are running at this time, there is no load (judging by the top output). The temperature stays around 42-46 degrees. If you specifically load something, then the fan starts spinning around 52 degrees. There are no RPM or temperature settings in the bios. Runtu Lite OS, there is no dust inside, nothing is hot to the touch inside.
Also, about once every 10 minutes, you can hear the activity of the hard drive (the sound is similar to the parking of heads). But I did not notice the connection between the activity of the railway and the fan.
How to identify the source of fan awakening? And a hard drive at the same time?
