How to identify a burnt port on a Dlink DGS L2 switch?

The "copper" port does not work on the DGS-3120 switch, although the light flashes green + orange when it is turned on (booted), as it should. But when inserting a patch cord, it does not light up
. Is it possible to somehow check the port for "professional suitability"?
Neighbor ports work as they should.
The settings have been reset.
Now an option has come to mind, insert a crimped jack, and ring the contacts with the case, for example, or among themselves.
What do you think? How else?

If you took another gigabit patchcord and the link does not rise either, then forget about this port.
Or take it to a service.
Definitely burned out, it makes no sense to call something.
