How to highlight source code on a page?

The page displays the html source code in the code tag. You need to highlight this code. How can this be implemented? Html is generated from Jade. Is there a plugin for gulp?

Google "syntax highlight". There are several libraries, the first thing that came to mind is https://highlightjs.org/
