How to highlight new and changed files in Finder like in Total Commander?

Total Commander has one very useful "define colors for file types" feature in the settings under the colors tab. I'm not so much interested in colorful file types as highlighting new and changed files, which I'm used to using.

There are terms in the wincmd.ini config
in the [Colors] section

:
ColorFilter3=>Not older than 1 hour
ColorFilter3Color=9804543
ColorFilter4=>Not older than 1 day
ColorFilter4Color=14145535

This is very convenient if we are downloading to a folder with a lot of files and a new file illuminates in pink. It is also convenient to watch changes in files on FTP, i.e. visually by color immediately distinguish where there were changes. By the way, it is very convenient and local.

Please tell me if it is possible to create such a miracle with Finder or maybe there are some other alternative utilities and others!

You can try using Automator. I posted a sample workflow that highlights in yellow the files changed today.
In principle, as far as I know, this can be attached to a folder so that when files are dropped into the folder, they are automatically highlighted.
By default, Automator cannot search for changes within an hour, but you can try to search for files modified less than an hour ago via the shell using `Run Shell Script`. Maybe this will be helpful .
