How to hide html module on dynamic site pages in joomla 2.5?

Good day, dear experts =)
I want to display the slider ONLY on the main page, I created an html module in the admin panel with the slider code, I noted that the module should be displayed only on the main page.
The module of the VirtueMart2 online store is also displayed on the main page, so when you go through the categories and in the product cards of the store, the slider module is not hidden, the address is generated like this
localhost/joomla/index.php/aksessuary-dlya-planshetov
I beg you to help me figure it out as much as possible hide the module when navigating through dynamic pages.

Just saying what the problem is is very problematic. If you noted in the module that it should be displayed only on the main page, and it is still displayed smoothly on other pages, then the problem may be hidden in the template itself (in the template manager, and select the current template that you use by default, as a rule there are many your settings). It is also possible that if you got this site already configured (ready created), then maybe the one who created it screwed up the system itself, which is why such incomprehensible things happen. There are a lot of nuances...

This can happen if the main page is marked as VM.
The simplest thing is to put a check on the main page in the template and display the desired position there.
