How to get the last added resource in MODX EVO?

There is a multi-level document structure:
First level
-- Second level
---- Element
-- Something else..
---- Third level
...
How to get the last added resource, the newest one that is? The search should be carried out on all levels, starting from the first. What are the options anyway?
