I want to crop the image to the desired size. I need a 940x300 output image how to get the measurements of the selected area?

If cropping through the menu is not suitable, try this:
Create a new picture, 940x300 in size
Copy the old one and paste it into the new one. Until the application is over, move as you need and apply.

Can be cropped via Editing - Canvas Sizes . And there, by the arrows, choose from which edge you will start to cut. Experiment with this function, but I think this is what you need
