As with any other piece of hardware - run nmap on it, look at open ports. If there is something interesting, go to the offsite section for developers and look there. If everything is sad, we look for alternative firmware in entornets, sew a piece of iron and get the desired functionality. This method works on any piece of hardware that can be connected to the network.
