How to get route data?

I have a route and I can extract the distance from point to point.
I need to find the middle between the points.
I kind of imagine how to do it, but I can’t find it possible to do it with code.
Let me explain:
on the route, from point to point, we have all sorts of turns and the route data should contain data on the distance from turn to turn, so I think having received this data I can calculate the middle, but how to get data about each turn?
Does anyone know how to solve this issue in another way?
