How to get rid of switching to the context menu in programs after pressing the spacebar?
Hello. Sorry, couldn't even pick the right tags. I am currently working with Adobe Audio Audition. You have to constantly cut out small segments from the audio track and regularly use the spacebar in order to start playing the audio again and some kind of devilry relentlessly switches to the top left menu after pressing the spacebar (I'm not sure what it is called contextual, sorry) - where File, Edit etc.
It's driving me crazy... I tried many times to simulate this keyboard shortcut, but I couldn't... It feels like I'm only pressing the LMB and the spacebar and at some point I switch to the menu. I really want to live in peace and get rid of this, up to changing the key combinations in Windows - I would like to know, for a start, what it's called. There have already been thoughts of recording the screen with some program that monitors the pressed keys. I hope for you, good people.

Most likely, you accidentally press ALT, which switches focus to the window's menubar.
Also, ALT+Space brings up the window menu (maximize, minimize, etc.).
It happened to me that ALT was temporarily stuck on the keyboard, with similar consequences.
As far as I know, it's hardly possible to turn it off.
