How to get rid of an error in the Finder when you turn it on?

This box appears when you turn it on:
"The last time you opened the Finder, it quit unexpectedly when reopening windows. Do you want to try opening windows again?"
You can choose: "Do not open" and "Open again"
What is the problem and how to fix it?

You didn't specify what version of OS X you have, or if there are any companion programs interfering with Finder.app. Look in Console.app, there should be Finder.app dumps, maybe they will show the reason, you can also reinstall OS X and then restore your data using the time machine.
