How to get quotes from the stock exchange?

I would like to make a web project that analyzes data from the exchange.
Quik seems to provide the ability to receive data via ODBC, but the problem is that it is Windows, and I have servers on Linux. And to raise a virtual machine in which Windows and quik are somehow loaded and not true. Maybe there is somewhere some kind of API or other way that allows you to get data easily and quickly on the "live"?
