How to get into New when publishing in the App Store?

When creating an application, the publication date is set. What date should I put in order to get into the New category? I heard that you can somehow set it incorrectly and then you fly by.

In my opinion, all applications fall into this section automatically. At least 2 of my applications got there on their own, but fell pretty quickly. Applications appear a day in batches and positions quickly go down. In any case, at release, there will be a surge in downloads, and then in a week and a half, traffic will drop to natural. Well, or trample up if you're very lucky :)
