How to get images sent in html letter from outlook2013?

I am sending a simple html letter template, but the pictures in it have an absolute address from my file directory like file:///C:\Program%20Files\Common%20Files\Microsoft%20Shared\Stationery\1.gif and are therefore not displayed to users.
How to fix?

Upload the image to an image hosting site and paste it as http://...

It's better not to send html-letters through outlook - it is not intended for mailings. Send simple text emails.
If you need to send mailings, use special services. For example, mailerlite (up to 1000 subscribers - free).

Pictures are usually prohibited from downloading from external resources in corporate Outlook.
It's better to embed, and to overwrite them in a letter to cid:picturename.jpg
But here you need a reasonable compromise, if the pictures are huge, it's better not to do that, of course...
