How to get an external IP address on your equipment when using GPON from MGTS/Rostelecom?
I plan to connect GPON from MGTS / Rostelecom, the provider provides a subscriber terminal (ONT), which can simultaneously act as a router in the home network. There is a desire to use your own equipment as a home router and, accordingly, receive an external IP address directly on it. Does anyone have experience with a similar configuration?
Based on the search results on the topic in the Toaster and other sources, I found the following possible options:
A) Configure the ONT in Bridge mode and raise the session on your own equipment.
B) Purchase a compatible SFP module (ONU) and do not use an ONT.
In both cases, the following points remain unclear:
1) Do I understand correctly that GPON uses PPPoE to authorize subscribers?
2) Some sources mention some VLAN numbers - what are they for?
3) How to set up TV and phone (triple play)?
Thanks

Rostelecom router in bridge mode (you can call technical support to ask), raise a PPPoE session on your equipment.
Rostelecom will not let you change anything in your piece of iron. And even more so to connect something left. RTK - people are very simple - "if you don't like it, don't eat it."
UPD:
Full access using the left engineering password can be obtained (probably). But there are two points:
- it's not a fact that changing the settings with this password will not cause a "red light" in the provider's monitoring and he will stupidly overwrite all changes with the default config and change the password
- the least that can happen for using the left engineering password is termination of the contract .
