How to get a patent in the US and EU cheaply and independently?

I saw articles on the internet, but I can't find them. It turned out very cheaply, if you do everything yourself, according to a simple step-by-step description. Who's up for it? In Russian or in English. Thanks in advance.

Does it make sense to do it yourself?

Each EU country has its own patent office, there is no general registration for the entire euro area. At least this is true for trademark registrations.

If you (or one of the co-authors) is not a resident, you can obtain a patent only with the involvement of a Patent Attorney - this restriction is imposed by both the US and European patent offices.
There is no European patent - there is a 'recognition' agreement between European countries - get a patent in Germany or France, will be valid in some European countries.
The cheapest way to 'stake out' an idea abroad for 3 years is to file a Russian one, and then a PCT application - it is submitted in Russian to the same FIPS (it is the receiving body), a fee is paid (I don't remember exactly) but something like 10tr per aggregates. Moreover, you can even apply for the PCT without changing anything in your Russian application, filling out only a new PCT application. This must be done within 1 year from the date of filing the Russian application. PCT application priority date = Russian filing date.
In short - technically - they submit a Russian one (for an invention or PM - it doesn’t matter), during the year they estimate the chances - your application will already go through a number of stages in FIPS - they pay a fee and submit the PCT. Then, for another 2 years, they again estimate the chanceslooking for an investor and moving to the "National Phase" - i.e. receive national applications (through Attorney, 10-20 thousand dollars per country). In this case, national applications will have conventional priority = PCT = Russian.
Z.Y. advice - do not be stingy to write more and more in detail in the 'Description', make a stepwise 'Formula', use the terms 'new technical effect', 'essential features', 'distinguishing features'. It will be possible to change something in the Formula only (!) with words (!) from the Description.
