In order to be given citizenship, you have to try very hard.
They don’t need web developers (there are plenty of them; freelance Indians). Russian engineers are being taken away with their hands.
Strongly pump in very rare and useless skills. There is a possibility that there will be a buyer ready to pull a specialist out of Russia.

Transferring an employee from abroad costs ~35-50k dollars in the USA and waits from six months to one and a half years. You have to be unique and oh-so-very fit.
