How to get a job as an SEO specialist?

Good afternoon.

I want to connect my future activities with the direction of SEO / content. But since I live in a hole, I would like to get a remote job. There is work experience, there is also experience in introducing projects. But now I started looking for such positions and ran into a problem that I couldn’t find it.

In local large companies, it all sounds like: a system administrator is required, with knowledge of Photoshop, coral, SEO, experience in working with the media, experience in repairing office equipment, etc. Those. and jester and king.

Could you suggest which way to go?

Have you considered working for yourself? For example, earnings on affiliate programs of the financial market (consumer lending). Or lead generation.
And so, you can find out in small web studios that make small commercial sites for local companies. Once I worked in a similar one, we had remote SEO.
It is also interesting to know your skills and success in SEO and copywriting.

Tell me, why are you not considering freelancing? A fairly good option if there is no opportunity to work in a company, especially with a good portfolio.
Well, as an option, you need to leave this very “backwoods” and try to find a job in a good company. Risky - yes, but maybe the result is worth it?

I'm afraid you'd better look for a real job, or at least remote work in a company. Look at the ads on Avito - all of Russia is there. It’s hard for a newcomer to freelance - it’s time to spit, besides, there will be no one to explain your mistakes to you. How will you level up?

I don't quite agree with the last comment. I got my start in SEO as a freelancer. I couldn’t find any work, they didn’t even take it as an intern, but I had to practice somewhere. I just decided to try. Yes, I threw a lot, but it's easy to protect yourself from them. Many of these services have secure transactions. And at the expense of errors .. For example, the customers themselves explained to me, but this is rare. Basically, I myself asked for help from more advanced freelancers. So I learned everything. Then I looked for vacancies on websites, found an option on Avito. Now I work as a SEO specialist in a company. Got it right after the interview.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
