How to get a job as a programmer if you live in the region?
I write backend in python (Flask, Django) and I also know a little JS (ES6) enough to use React to build SPA applications. Still, I focus more on the backend.
I have a question:
If I live in a region where there are no IT vacancies, there is nothing at all!
I don’t have the opportunity to move to an internship, I heard it’s better not to start with freelancing.
I am considering working remotely in the office, but people say that remote work is not worth starting at all, but I simply have no other choice. Suppose if I develop several more or less complex pet projects and attach them to my resume in the form of links to demos, then how big is the chance that I will even be hired remotely?
I can absorb knowledge, but I need real projects to grow.

Post your resume on HH (my circle, superjob, etc.), respond to the vacancies you like, go through interviews, and do test tasks. Remember to update your resume daily. There are remote vacancies, it will really work.
In your free time, do what you have in mind, then add links to your resume.
In parallel, you can look in the direction of freelancing.
Good luck!
Freelancing won't make you anything. It's not a job, it's a prank.
I won’t take you to a remote location or you simply won’t find it - this is a rarity.
Take off your rose-colored glasses and don't listen to the experts who will talk about the delights of remote work in general.
You have only one way out - to go to big cities. Rent an apartment and give half the salary for housing.
Or take up a different field of activity.
I live in the Moscow region, near the Moscow Ring Road almost. All IT work ONLY in Moscow, almost in the center, which, given the enormous congestion of Moscow roads, makes traveling to work a real test. Those. I, a person who seems to have opportunities in view of living near Moscow, also have a lot of difficulties in finding a job! Outside the Moscow Ring Road, in the cities near Moscow, there is no work on IT . And never was. I've been looking for a PHP programmer for 10 years - I didn't find it!
It would be better if you went to auto mechanics. I understand everything, but I had to think with my head why you need IT and what you will do with this knowledge later.
What do you mean you can't move? No arms, legs, and one eye?
Moving has always just packed a
backpack and left, another thing is that people have no desire to move if their life is even a little mediocre
Let's say if I develop several more or less complex pet projectsDevelop one project. But design it well . Paying attention incl. for formatting and commenting code.
Real experience (all remotely):
All this is accompanied by self-study and pet projects (although some turned out to be very successful and brought money). It took 5 years. He lived in a small town, where from IT work, it was only "refuel printers", 7 hours difference from Moscow.

If I knew that it would be so long and difficult, I would have packed my things and dumped it right away where there is work.
p.s. Python? What are you going to do with it. There are few vacancies for him, and everywhere the middle + level is immediately required, because the projects are complex (if these are not internships somewhere in Moscow in Yandex and mail.ru, where you need to be physically present). Why no one reads the article - https://habr.com/en/post/322332/
Also from the region, the difference from Moscow time is 5 hours, there are also vacancies ... NO!)
There were test ones, there were social services for remote work, but things haven’t gone further ....
If you can go to the front, and even more so to React, you can start with him, Python is often required in wishes as a plus, then you’ll change! The main thing is to start. Freelancing, with such a difference is also difficult))
A lot of progers work remotely in large offices, including Moscow ones. A bunch of personal friends.
Didn't find what you were looking for?
