There is a 4-slot mother GA-MA78GM-S2H rev 1.1, in which the manufacturer indicates support for up to 16 gigabytes of memory up to 800 megahertz. There are 4 strips DDR2 800 for 4 gigs. The maximum that can be stably started is 8 gigs in different versions. 12 gigs sometimes miraculously start, but the system crashes very quickly and then does not start. 16 gigs - the bios just beeps and does not start.
Who has experience running 16 gigs on AMD Phenom II?

There are three revisions of this model on the off site. For each of them, the bios versions are different.
Look at the exact revision number and BIOS version. Check that you have the latest up-to-date version for your revision.
Are the boards all the same? Are they on the compatibility list? download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/motherboard_m... (for different revisions of the motherboard, the lists are slightly different)
