How to forward ports from VMware Workstation guest to Ubuntu host?
Welcome all!
There is Ubuntu Desktop 16.04
, VMware Workstation PRO is installed on it, Mysql server with a database
in VMware created a Windows 10
virtual machine In the Windows virtual machine, I installed a client program for working with HeidiSQL databases, with it I can connect to databases on remote servers no problem, but if I try to connect to a local database that runs on a host on Ubuntu, where the virtual machine is located, then an error occurs.
I understand that the problem is with port forwarding.
There is an Internet on the virtual machine, I can access the Internet.
The connection settings for the virtual machine are standard, via NAT
For example, I still have VirtualBox installed, it also has Windows, and from it I can connect to Mysql on a host on Ubuntu.
There, in the connection settings to the database, I simply indicated the ip of the host on which Virtualbox is installed, I thought that it would also work in VMware, but no.
That is, how can I access the Mysql server from the guest system to the host on which the virtual machine is located?
