Naturally, the camera must have Internet access - the problem may be that SSL is mandatory for the messaging service. In general, it is enough to set the smtp server, login (mail), password, to whom field, subject field; there is still a choice between images and a video file, but not for all models. Also, the motion detection function must be enabled - for most cameras, an email is sent when a motion event occurs.
