How to fix wifi disabled in ubuntu 14.04 lts?
Installed Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Everything is fine, except for the periodic disconnection of wi-fi.
More:
After a while (from 2-3 to 15 minutes), the Internet stops working. From the tray you can see that it works. But if you click on the network to which you are connected, the connection is disconnected. This only happens on Ubuntu, next to it is Windows 10, everything is ok. You can cure it only by rebooting or connecting another wi-fi adapter, but with this option the speed is too slow and you don’t want to miss this adapter with you. On other devices, too, everything is fine, tablet, 2 phones.
I guess it's a bug in Ubuntu. Google, the error has been encountered by many since the time of testing this version of Ubuntu. But nowhere is there a concrete solution. Help who can

At the moment when the Internet died, look at ifconfig (or rather, mtu on the wlan interface in it). If below 1450-1500, then you need to update network-manager to 1.0.6+
My friend had a completely similar situation ... I fixed her wi-fi twice through a kernel update and console commands, then she was knocked out again ... This problem is still relevant for Ubuntu 14.04 lts with the Unity shell.
The problem was "killed" in the following way ... by installing another, more friendly and smart (at the expense of the shell) distribution. Xubuntu with Xfce.
Reinstall and you'll understand!
