How to correctly differentiate user rights?

There is a small network led by windows server 2008 r2. I'm trying to set up a file server on ubuntu 14.04. Entered ubuntu into the domain installed and configured system-config-samba, i.e. shared the folder on the disk. I try to go to the folder from the computer where the windows server comes in. I can delete and add files. But there is one bold BUT, it does not allow you to add subfolders. Those. empty folders please, and folders with files are written by Permisson Denied. In this regard, two questions:
1. How to properly grant rights to a folder to Windows users?
2. Why can't I make the admin windows server account the owner of the folder?

IMHO, it's easier to do this on NTFS partitions in Windows. I've never had to do this on *nix systems, I'll subscribe.
